Dear Liz, you left too soon. We were looking forward to a free spirited, slightly outrageous old age when we wore purple and had fun. How will I set the world to rights when you are not here?
Our lives have been entwined for more than forty years. We, and our families, have so many wonderful shared experiences through daily life, parties, dinners, birthdays, Christmases, holidays, politics and drama. Over the years we have exchanged ideas, hopes and concerns and a great deal of laughter. There are so many special memories that will keep you in my thoughts and in my heart.
You were very brave during your long and cruel illness. I am glad that you are now free from pain and that you died surrounded by your loving family. You are now at peace and united with your beloved Andrew.
Your friendship was very precious and I shall miss you. Love Halina x

We have the frequent saying in the Simpson household: “Oh that’s beautiful! - very ‘Liz Orm’” in the admiration of anything stylish, crafted or enchanting.
I feel blessed to have had Liz Ormanroyd as such an important part of my life, for as long as I can remember. You are loved and missed, Aunty Lizzie. Rest in peace.

Liz and I became firm friends soon after I moved to Long Crendon, brought together through bereavement. She was such a gentle, kind and generous person, bearing her ailments stoically, especially in the past year. Liz, I will miss popping in for a chat and cuppa, I will miss your smile and discussions putting the world to rights. Liz you were a true friend. Rest in peace dear Liz. Xx
